Enrollment in the advanced courses of study are dependent on the successful completion of our Level One Foundation Course in essential oil therapy or by transfer (see below for requirements). Information on scheduled starting dates for advanced courses is available online or in our schedule.
All instruction is in English. COBHA offers no VISA or language services, though we are currently working on our VISA program to accept foreign students.
Open Houses
COBHA holds open houses three times a year; see website for dates or contact the school. Staff members and faculty highlight either lavender, geranium, or rosemary through demonstrations and infused treats, and often include mini-lectures by the COBHA faculty and staff. These orientations are very helpful in becoming familiar with the staff, faculty, classroom, and COBHA’s principals. Students receive 10% off workshops and classes at Open Houses.
Transfer Credits
Credits for courses taken certified institutions other than COBHA will be applied toward COBHA requirements if taken within three years prior to enrollment at COBHA. Applicants who have studied similar curriculum over three years prior to enrollment may choose exemption from course participation by passing all course exams and paying an adjusted tuition fee. Students enrolling in advanced classes who have not completed the Level One Program must submit documentation from an approved school showing equivalent training and pass the final exam. Acceptance in advanced classes may be subject to instructor evaluation and involves a $75 processing fee.
Applications
An application for enrollment is available online, in office, or through email or fax. All questions must be answered in detail and will be reviewed during the interview. Click here to download an application.
Interview Process
After the completed enrollment application is received, the applicant will be contacted to schedule an appointment for an interview with a COBHA staff member. This interview is to evaluate the application, to complete the COBHA orientation, and to ensure the proper fit of student to COBHA and COBHA to student.
Application Fee
A $50 application fee is required to process the enrollment application. This fee must accompany the application in order for enrollment to be considered. It is not part of the tuition, nor is it refundable. This application fee is instated because of the work and time required to register the student in our system.
Acceptance Into the Program
After the applicant and the application have been evaluated, the interviewer will determine if the COBHA program and the prospective student are compatible. A confirmation of acceptance will be confirmed via phone, mail, or email to the student upon completion of the interview process.
Enrollment
In order to enroll yourself in a Level One or Level Two class, you must make a deposit of $100 exactly two weeks before the first class is scheduled. This fee is part of your enrollment tuition and secures your place in the class. If you pay in full for any Level One or Level Two class one month in advance, a 10% discount is awarded.
Level One class only: You MUST go through the application process at least a month in advance. This will make it easier for us to have the oils you will need for class prepared and ordered on time so they will get to COBHA by the first class (this is because oils are ordered from around the world and their availabilities are ever-changing).
Payment Plans
Payment in full for any course of study may be made at the time of registration. However, installments that run over the duration of a class can be arranged in advance through the business office, and are split up into three payments. Payment one is due Class 1, the second class 3, and the third class 5. Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and AMEX are accepted, as well as cash, check, or Paypal.
