is a unique and innovative educational institution providing training that focuses on the power of healing through the use of essential oils, known as aromatherapy.

College of Botanical Healing Arts Graduate

Essential Oil Therapy is an emerging medical field in the United States that requires a comprehensive educational background in the sciences, history and clinical internship. Our goal is to qualify students as professional Essential Oil Therapists and educators to assume responsibilities in the healthcare field working in conjunction with other health practitioners within the community. Essential Oil Therapy is an ancient healing art utilizing the distillation process of plant materials to extract powerful concentrated essential oils. These oils have been effectively used around the world for centuries for therapeutic purposes such as fighting infection, strengthening the immune system, reducing emotional and mental stress and providing a basis for preventative medicine. This field is recognized and practiced in Europe by physicians, nurses and hospitals.

COBHA is a pioneer in creating high standards for Essential Oil Therapy education in the United States. Our curriculum meets national standards of certification as set by National Association of Holistic Aromatherapists. It consists of a 390 hour certification course that includes factual knowledge, skills of observation, evaluation and scientific analysis with the use of gas chromatograph mass spectrometer (GCMS) chemically analyzed essential oils. The college offers advanced courses in the history of medicine, chemistry, botany, physiology, business and ethics and clinical internship.

COBHA offers Continuing Educational Units for all courses and workshops to nurses, massage therapists, and psychotherapists (all professionals).

COBHA is a 501(c)3 charitable organization and welcomes your tax-deductible donations to help support our educational work in essential oil therapy.
