COBHA Graduate 2004: Jane Hendler Owner of AJNE San Carlos Square, Carmel, CA
Jane Hendler was a lovely student at Cobha and excelled in creating blends in class and in our spring Clinic. In 2005, she and her husband, Rex Rombach opened a beautiful apothecary and parfumerie called AJNE with a French flavor in Carmel, Ca. Their store has a circular rack with over 200 essential oils that Jane uses to create rare and precious perfumes. She blends such oils as Aloeswood, Lotus, Jasmine, Sandalwood, and Rose into healing elixirs. A visitor to the French store can answer questions on a computer program questionnaire and Jane will use this information to make a custom blend for the customer as we do in the Clinic.
She has made seven exquisite alchemical natural perfumes with intoxicating aromas and lotions and body care products. She and Rex grow several acres of lavender at their own home in Carmel Valley and distill the plants to make hydrosols. Her training at Cobha gave her the foundation knowledge and confidence to help people awaken their olfactory joy.
