Financial Information:

Tuition, Fees and other expenses:

As a non-profit organization, The College of Botanical Healing Arts strives to keep its costs low.

  1. A 15% discount is given for all Level I classes, and a 10% discount is given for all Level II classes and workshops, if paid in full four weeks prior to the first day of class.
  2. The cost of the 16 hours of electives varies depending upon the classes, conferences, or workshops selected by the student. A 10% discount for classes and workshops sponsored by COBHA is offered for prepayment four weeks prior to those programs.
  3. A $50 nonrefundable deposit is required with the application for each class.
  4. The balance of tuition is due prior to the first day of class.
  5. A prearranged payment plan is available prior to the first day of class.
  6. The essential oils studied in each class are available at the college and may be purchased at a 25% discount.
  7. The Level I textbook is included with the class tuition. Textbooks used in Level II are purchased separately.
  8. An all classes except Aromabotany, field trips are optional, but recommended. In Aromabotany, two field trips are required.

Refund Policy:

  1. Students who wish to cancel their enrollment in a class must do so in writing. The written statement must include the date of withdrawal, reason for withdrawal, and signature.
  2. Students withdrawing from the Level II program should schedule an appointment with a school administrator and instructor.
  3. After the first class, a student will receive a full refund, excluding the $50 nonrefundable deposit.
  4. After two weeks or the second class, all but 20% of the tuition and the nonrefundable registration fee will be refunded.
  5. After 50% of the class, or mid-course, the school reserves the right to retain the full tuition.

Financial Aid:

As a school certified by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education, students may qualify for certain financial aid from oitside agencies. Students are responsible for identifying and applying for any such aid. COBHA does offer a payment arrangement which shall be approved by the administration at the time of admission interview. COBHA also honors grants and scholarships are awarded from outside organizations. Future plans may include a scholarship program.

Student Tuition Recovery Fund:

The Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) was established by the California legislature to protect any California resident who attends a private postsecondary institution from suffering financial loss as a result of the school closing, failure to live up to its enrollment agreement, or refusing to pay a court judgment. You must be a permanent California resident and keep copies of the enrollment agreement, receipts, etc.
