    This workshop will cover time saving and environmentally sound techniques of growing fresh herbs and medicinal plants in your own home garden. Topics will cover “no-till” gardening, plant propagation techniques, soil health, container planting and which healing plants are easiest to cultivate. Come enjoy fresh herbal teas from the COBHA garden while we discuss how to let nature do the gardening work for you, and sample some of the benefits.  Bring your questions and take home herb starts from Bettina’s garden!

    Christine Hassler, an herbalist form the Trinity Mountains, will teach the ancient traditions of making herbal preparations for you and your family. This will be a hands-on workshop with instruction in the making of tinctures, herbal teas, medicinal massage oils and herbal salves, each of which you will be bringing home, plus recipes for more.
