COBHA is located at 1821 17th Ave., Santa Cruz, Ca. 95062. It was founded in 1997 when a student purchased a home and garden site south of Santa Cruz near Highway One. The main classroom has a large wall of library books on one side and French doors opening to the garden on the other. The tables and chairs face a large screen for power point presentations. The garden is 1/3 acre with plants and trees that provide a source of aromatic materials for distillation such as Angelica plant, Vitex tree, Lemon tree, many different Salvias, Rosemary, Licorice, and Fennel.
From the North (San Francisco): Take 880 South; 880 South becomes Highway 17, follow until Watsonville/Monterey Exit (before Santa Cruz exit). Now on Highway One, take the Soquel Ave. Exit . At light, take a left on to frontage road.. At the next light, take a right onto 17th Ave. COBHA is on the right approx. 1/2 mile down on 17th Ave. (across the street from "Hair Pizzaz" sign).
From the South (Monterey): Take Highway One North towards Santa Cruz. Take Soquel Exit and veer left as you prepare for a left turn at the light. At next light, take another left on frontage road. At second light, take right onto 17th Ave. COBHA is on the right approx. 1/2 mile down on 17th Ave. (across the street from "Hair Pizzaz" sign).
